My manager, Mike, and I in the NOC
During the summer between my junior and senior year at the University of Pittsburgh, I was an intern with the Network Operations team at UPMC. While this was only a 12-week program, I learned a lot in both networking and operating in an enterprise environment where the network connectivity could mean that matter of life or death for a patient.
Monitored and maintained the enterprise network for stability and connectivity
Conducted monthly password changes for over 1,000 Cisco networking devices
Coordinated vendor and level two dispatches to sites
